The 77th Annual Convention of the 82nd Airborne Division Association was held August 9th to 12th, 2023, at the Pentagon City Sheraton in Arlington, Virginia.
The Washington DC Chapter hosted the event. The DC Chapter coordinated transportation to the U.S. Army National Museum, the Sequoia restaurant, and other points of interest. The event began with wreath laying ceremonies at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier conducted by the Commanding General of the 82nd Airborne Division, Major General Christopher Laneve.
Although a jump was scheduled for the occasion, it was scrapped. There was a lot of disappointment about the jump being cancelled.
New officers were elected for the National organization.
Regimental associations also held annual meetings as well as regimental dinners. Devil 6 and Devil 9 joined us for the Devil Dinner.
